Dr. Murtaza Ali
Dr. Murtaza Ali, DO, MBA, MS, oversees the medical management of FHE Health’s treatment programs. His job is to ensure that patients enjoy the highest standard of medical care and safety and are satisfied with the quality of treatment they receive. In his role as CMO, Dr. Ali assists management and other departments within the realm of medicine. He also trains and oversees many nurse practitioners and physician assistants in the area
Dr. Ali is Board-certified in family medicine. He has previously worked in both inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment settings as a primary care physician. His extensive experience treating a wide range of substance use disorders includes the use of medication-assisted treatments (MATs) for opiate, alcohol, and other addictions. Dr. Ali’s background in primary care medicine allows him to bring an integrated approach to patient care.
In his most recent post before joining the FHE team, Dr. Ali served as a primary care doctor to veterans at a clinic in Daytona Beach, Florida. He is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association and American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Ali holds a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) from Lincoln Memorial University, in Harrogate, Tennessee. He completed his family medicine internship and residency at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, in Elmira, New York. Before attending medical school, he earned a MBA from Baruch College, in New York, NY.
In his free time, Dr. Ali enjoys traveling with his family. He and his wife have four children.
