FHE Health Marks 25 Years of Growth, Innovation, and Purpose in Behavioral Healthcare
Deerfield Beach, Fla. — FHE Health, a nationally recognized provider of mental health and substance use treatment, is celebrating 25 years of service rooted in growth, innovation, and a deep commitment to helping people reclaim their lives.
The organization’s story began humbly as a small halfway house in South Florida, focused exclusively on supporting individuals in early sobriety. At a time when recovery options were limited, the mission was clear: provide a safe, structured environment where people could begin rebuilding their lives free from substances.
As the needs of patients evolved, so did the organization. What started as sobriety support expanded into medically supervised detox services, followed by residential and outpatient addiction treatment. Over time, leadership recognized that long-term recovery required addressing more than substance use alone. This insight led to a major shift—integrating mental health care as a primary focus and building a true dual-diagnosis treatment model that treats the whole person.
Rebranded over the years from Florida House to Florida House Experience, and ultimately FHE Health, the organization’s name changes reflect its expanding scope and modern clinical approach, while honoring its roots.
One of the most transformative investments in FHE Health’s history has been its commitment to neuro-rehabilitative and neuroscience-based treatment. Long before these approaches became widely discussed, FHE Health began incorporating advanced brain-based diagnostics and therapies to better understand and treat complex mental health and addiction conditions. This commitment has positioned the organization as an innovator in behavioral healthcare and continues to shape its clinical philosophy today.
In the past years, FHE Health has also expanded its impact through Shatterproof FHE Health, a specialized program designed to meet the unique mental health needs of first responders and veterans. Recognizing the cumulative trauma faced by those on the frontlines, the program combines trauma-informed care, neuroscience, and peer support to help these individuals achieve more comprehensive recoveries.
Reflecting on the milestone, Chief Operating Officer Rami Sleiman shared:
“It means more than 25 years of success; it means 25 years of meaningful impact—on our clients, our employees, and the communities we serve. It is the intentional creation of something greater than any single moment: a lasting legacy built on purpose, integrity, and vision, designed to endure and stand the test of time.”
Today, FHE Health serves adults from across the country with integrated medical care, evidence-based therapies, and specialized programs—all while remaining grounded in the same purpose that defined its earliest days.
