In March 2020, Anthem Foundation acquired Beacon Health Options, which will operate as a wholly-owned Anthem subsidiary. The management and administration of behavioral health and wellness programs are handled by Beacon through contracts it maintains with employer groups, commercially available health plans, managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage health plans, and programs and agencies through state and local governments.
