Jeffrey Weinstein
National Outreach Liaison
Jeffrey Weinstein works closely with the top executive leadership of large national unions around the country to ensure their members have access to the best behavioral healthcare. He serves unions representing law enforcement, firefighters, federal agencies, and all branches of the military, and through relationships with their presidents and delegates, helps to expedite next steps into treatment for members who need it. Mr. Weinstein is often asked to speak at national conventions and wellness symposiums for groups like the Fraternal Order of Police, Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association, and Police Benevolent Association.
Mr. Weinstein has worked in the behavioral health field for more than 28 years and with FHE Health for more than 10 years. He became passionate about first responder mental health after watching an episode of 60 Minutes and learning that police officers were far more likely to take their own life than die in the line of duty. Since then, Mr. Weinstein has worked tirelessly “to change that narrative.” “First responders do get better,” he says.
Now in long-term recovery, Mr. Weinstein credits law enforcement for having once saved his life. In this sense, his service to the community is a way of giving back.
