Ivona Bhadha, LCSW, NARM
Director of Family Services
As Director of Family Services, Ivona Bhadha serves families of patients in our programs, by helping them access therapy, education, and other supports, and by teaching them parenting and relationship skills, such as healthy communication, conflict resolution, and connection. Ms. Bhadha is developing and managing a virtual platform that hosts family support and education groups. She also oversees an evidence-based, trauma-informed family educational program for the Shatterproof FHE Health and Restore Mental Health Programs.
Ivona has worked in the mental health field for more than 22 years. From 2013 to 2019, she was the director of a therapeutically driven program for FHE families of patients with chronic addictive disorders. She has extensive experience organizing and leading multi-family therapy workshops and parenting and relationship workshops.
Ms. Bhadha has been a licensed psychotherapist since 2009. Her own experience with family addiction and mental illness inspired her to become a therapist and helped her and her family find healing. Her mission is to help families transform the impact of addiction, mental illness, and trauma into healing for themselves and their communities.
Ivona has a master’s degree in social work from Comenius University, Slovakia, and has completed additional master-level studies at Florida Atlantic University. In pursuit of her passion of helping families, Ivona completed her certification in NARM, NeuroAffective Relational Model, which works specifically through a mindfulness-based approach with attachment, relational, and developmental trauma.
