Ryan Burkert
National Outreach Liaison
Ryan Burkert serves as a resource to first responders and union members in the New Jersey/Tri-State area, who may have questions about mental health and substance use treatment. He also speaks to audiences about issues like job protection, assistance to union members, and understanding their rights when considering care for a behavioral health condition.
Prior to joining FHE Health, Burkert worked in the private sector for six years as a financial advisor and a sales representative at a Fortune 500 company. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Hofstra University Zarb School of Business in 2019.
At Hofstra, Burkert was Captain of Men’s Wrestling and, as a Division I athlete, struggled with his own mental health issues. The experience led him to seek treatment at FHE Health. Burkert credits that time as a patient and an alumnus for the passion he now brings to his work every day and to the communities that he has the privilege of serving.
