FHE Now One of Florida’s Only Dually Accredited Treatment Facilities
April 26, 2016 – FHE (FHE Health) announces the awarding of the Joint Commission seal of accreditation. The Joint Commission Accreditation Health Care Certification accredits and certifies hospitals and health care facilities nationwide. Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization that is recognized nationwide as the symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting the highest health care standards.
FHE is now one of the only dually accredited facilities in the US. In 2010, FHE received CARF accreditation. The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities is an independent not-for-profit organization that promotes the quality, value and optimal outcomes of service. Accreditation is earned by treatment facilities who demonstrate their commitment to being among the best available.
Dr. A. Howeedy, Chief Medical Officer, at FHE, “We are at the forefront of treating addiction as a medical condition instead of just a clinical issue. That’s why the Joint Commission accreditation was important to us. Through our partnership with Joint Commission we will be able to continually improve the treatment and services we provide to our patients.”
Additional accreditations and licenses include, National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers, The Department of Children and Families, South Florida’s 2016 Top Workplaces, and the Better Business Bureau.
