The National Institutes of Mental Health says that nearly 1 in every 5 adults in the United States lives with a mental illness. This amounts to 44.7 million people in 2016. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration reports that 21.5 million people over the age of 12 in the country suffered from substance use disorders in 2014. FHE Health is here to help each one of those people get the support they need.
FHE Health is an accredited addiction center, which means we’ve worked to ensure we provide the highest level of care and support to you, our patients, and their families. The underlying goal of the care we provide is to help men, women, and teens get back to living their best lives. That takes a concentrated effort to provide outstanding services, cutting-edge treatments, and exceptional staff.
We pride ourselves on being a community leader as well. We’re a strong supporter, for example, of the Hanley Foundation, an organization that works tirelessly to promote prevention services in our community. We’re also a member of The Broward Partnership, a non-profit organization helping the homeless in the region.
Our Affiliations and Accreditations
We are a nationally accredited drug and alcohol treatment facility serving all of Southern Florida. Some of our national and statewide accreditations include the following.
The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities
The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is an international, nonprofit accreditation program designed to ensure locations provide the highest quality of care through a results-based approach. A CARF-accredited program is one in which there is continual improvement of patient care and services offered. These organizations encourage feedback and serve the community on a broad scale.
Accreditation requires a commitment to improvement with a focus on quality, monitoring results, and creating customized care plans for patients. An internal exam starts the accreditation process before the CARF team conducts an on-site survey. A clear demonstration that the organization conforms to the rigorous requirements of the agency must be evident. CARF then creates a report that outlines areas of potential improvements and strengths for the organization before accreditation can occur. Accreditation is ongoing, requiring a report submitted to the organization on an annual basis about improvements, changes, and patient results.
National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers
The mission of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) is to advance addiction services and support service providers. The organization, founded in 1978, is a nonprofit that accredits only the highest-quality addiction treatment centers in the country. It also works to create and promote the best practices for helping those in need. One of the key areas of success for NAATP is its ability to bring ideas, innovative thoughts, and new practices to the forefront by connecting service providers across the globe.
Organizations that wish to be a part of NAATP must meet specific requirements and provide innovative and time-tested services. The organization must also have a value-based practice, which includes providing high-quality integrated services to patients. During the application process, NAATP focuses on quality assurance and its strict code of ethics. Find more about our accreditation through NAATP and learn how we aim to meet and exceed the organization’s goals. Look up our accreditation on NAATP’s site.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
Perhaps one of the leading organizations for the prevention and treatment of drug and alcohol addiction is the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The agency is a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It leads the way in providing information, statistics and cutting-edge treatment and care to those impacted by substance abuse and mental illness.
The SAMHSA National Advisory Council sets the guidelines for care providers. The organization also plays a role in facility licensing, certification and accreditation on a national level. Look up our listing on SAMHSA here. Look up our listing on SAMHSA’s Opioid Treatment Program.
Joint Commission
The Joint Commission is a nonprofit organization that works independently from any healthcare provider and works to improve the quality of patient care in the country. It is tasked with accrediting and certifying the more than 21,000 organizations that are a part of its membership.
To achieve its goals, the Joint Commission works to evaluate organizations and then guides them to excel in their area of care. The process for achieving accreditation is intense and involves ongoing reports and on-site evaluations.

Legit Script Certified
Legit Script is an independent certification agent that certifies a business is in compliance with a high set of standards and is permitted, by those standards to advertise to potential clients. Google uses its certification as the most important standard in allowing Google Ads advertisements in a Google search. The need for this verification was identified in 2017 when Google shut off all advertising in addiction treatment after complaints of unscrupulous vendors manipulating the platform. Over the next year, they rolled out the requirements and certification process to allow access in advertising on their platform again. FHE Health is proud to have been awarded and maintain its legit script certification as a trusted advertiser. See our listing on LegitScript here.
