VA and TRICARE coverage has changed. FHE Health is a VA CCN Community Provider and currently works with TRICARE East, Select, and Prime. To get answers about your coverage, give FHE Health a call today.
TriWest Healthcare Alliance administers TRICARE in the West Region and manages VA community care in certain western parts of the country. Coverage rules in this space have shifted in recent years, and which plan applies at a given facility now depends heavily on your region and your specific plan.
FHE Health is based in Florida. We are a TRICARE-contracted treatment center working with TRICARE East, Select, and Prime, and we are a credentialed VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) provider for both mental health and substance use. If you carry TriWest coverage, or you are not certain what you have, the fastest way to get a clear answer is a quick, free, and confidential benefits check. If your plan is a fit, we will tell you. If it is not, we will help point you toward a provider who can.
How veteran and military coverage works now
Behavioral health coverage for service members, veterans, and their families runs through a few different programs, and they are easy to mix up:
- TRICARE is the health program for service members, retirees, and their families. FHE Health works with TRICARE East, Select, and Prime.
- TriWest Healthcare Alliance is a third-party administrator for TRICARE in the West Region and for VA community care in certain western regions.
- VA Community Care lets eligible veterans receive care from approved community providers when the VA cannot provide it. FHE Health is a credentialed VA CCN provider for mental health and substance use.
Because these programs vary by region and by plan, whether your specific coverage applies at FHE Health is best confirmed directly. Our admissions team does this for you at no cost.
Behavioral health services at FHE Health
FHE Health provides a full continuum of care for mental health and substance use, including co-occurring conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression alongside substance use disorders. Services include:
- Drug and alcohol detox, a medically supervised withdrawal with 24/7 monitoring by our medical team.
- Residential treatment, an intensive program of daily medical and clinical care that addresses the roots of addiction and any co-occurring conditions.
- Outpatient and intensive outpatient care, for those stepping down from residential treatment or returning home, offering more support than traditional weekly counseling.
