About FHE Health: How We Started
FHE Health was born from a simple conviction: people struggling with addiction and mental illness deserve more than the bare minimum.
What began more than two decades ago as a men’s sober home in South Florida has grown into a nationally recognized, fully integrated behavioral health provider. While our programs have expanded and our clinical capabilities have advanced, our foundation has never changed.
Today, FHE Health provides:

From our campus in Deerfield Beach, Florida, we serve individuals and families from across the country through a unified system of care designed to treat the whole person.
We treat substance use disorders and mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, and co-occurring diagnoses. Our approach addresses the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of recovery – because sustainable recovery requires more than symptom management.
Our multidisciplinary teams include medical doctors, board-certified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, licensed therapists, social workers, neuro-rehabilitation specialists, dietitians, and mental health technicians. The professionals work together as a coordinated team around each patient, ensuring that care is collaborative, integrated and responsive to each individual’s needs.
We are licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), and we hold dual accreditation from The Joint Commission and CARF, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of patient safety, ethical practice, and clinical excellence.

Neuro-Rehabilitation & Trauma-Informed Treatment
FHE Health is recognized for integrating advanced neurobehavioral services into addiction and mental health treatment. Our neuro-rehabilitation programming supports nervous system regulation and brain recovery as part of the healing process.
Our Neurobehavioral Services include advanced brain mapping, neurorehabilitation, ketamine-assisted therapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and comprehensive psychiatric care, addressing the neurological foundations of addiction and mental health at a level few treatment centers offer. We also incorporate evidence-based trauma modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and holistic approaches such as Integral Breathwork to support emotional processing and deeper trauma resolution
These services are delivered within a comprehensive treatment continuum that spans detoxification through outpatient care and long-term alumni support.
Our commitment to whole-person healing extends to physical wellness as well. Our on-site gym and certified personal trainers work alongside clinical teams to integrate physical strength and resilience into the recovery process, because physical health is an important component of recovery.
We also uniquely serve those who serve others. Shatterproof FHE Health is our nationally recognized specialty program for first responders and law enforcement professionals, addressing occupational trauma, cumulative stress exposure, and co-occurring disorders within a culturally competent clinical environment. Families are supported through this process as well, through weekly virtual family education groups, specialized programming for spouses of first responders, and resources such as the First Responders Family Podcast.
