Director of Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Arielle Kanitz oversees the Dialectical Behavior Therapy track within FHE Health’s Restore Mental Health program. Her duties include facilitating groups, leading the DBT consultation team, program development and administration, staff training and supervision, and integrating and expanding DBT services as part of Restore and FHE Health. Ms. Kanitz has more than 10 years of clinical experience in the mental health and substance abuse field. She previously helped develop and implement a DBT program for another provider. As a primary therapist, she has used multiple modalities of therapy to successfully treat individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Her specializations include DBT, adolescents, families, and dual diagnosis.
Arielle holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and is a licensed clinical social worker in Florida, Michigan, and Colorado. She says she is passionate about her current work because DBT is “an evidence-based therapeutic modality that I have personally seen work wonders for individuals and families.”
