Dr. Treese completed his undergraduate education in psychology and his medical education both at the University of Miami, followed by completion of his psychiatry residency training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He next completed psychoanalytic training at the Contemporary Freudian Society in Washington D.C. as he established himself in addiction treatment and in outpatient psychiatric practice. He is board certified by the ABPN in adult psychiatry and by the ABPM in addiction medicine; and he is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Florida Psychiatric Society, the American Society of Addition Medicine, the International Psychoanalytical Association, and the American Psychoanalytic Association. Areas of strong interest by Dr. Treese include addiction treatment, psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, and forensic psychiatry. He aims to help patients to understand their problems at their most underlying levels so that a more permanent and stable recovery may be started at The Florida House.
