Dr. Michael Jochananov, Psy.D.
Director, Mental Health Program
Dr. Michael Jochananov manages and supervises the implementation and delivery of clinical services and patient care in our Mental Health Program. As a practicing licensed psychologist, Dr. Jochananov has spent more than 20 years working in the mental health field as a clinical director, therapist, researcher, and educator working with the Severe Mental Illness (SMI) population. Michael earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology at the University of Denver, Colorado. He has extensive training and experience in numerous therapeutic modalities for individuals who may be experiencing symptoms of anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Dr. Jochananov is often asked to share his expertise with state, local, and federal courts—and with various audiences, via diverse multimedia platforms.
Dr. Jochananov is passionate about patient care and providing a safe, supportive atmosphere for personal growth. He is committed to creating a collaborative, therapeutic environment that is highly personalized to each individual’s unique values, culture, and worldview. With this foundation for treatment, he utilizes the latest research findings to individualize treatment and optimize outcomes.
